When did you start your business, and why did you create it?
I started my business in late 2020.
Tell us about your business and what makes you unique in your field.
I’m a money mindset coach and I specialize in pricing for women entrepreneurs who are undercharging and undervaluing their services which is 95% of service-based women entrepreneurs. I don’t believe enough women are talking about money and I also know that women are lying awake at night worrying about money because they are not making enough.
What do you feel makes your audience special?
They are women who know they are meant for more than lack and struggle. I like to empower women and help them shift limiting beliefs every time I engage with them.
If you could magically give all of your community members one thing in this world, what would it be, and why?
I would give them financial independence because when women create wealth they do great things with it. Statistically, women put 90% of their money back into their families, communities and helping others.
Has anything surprised you about starting a website?
Yes, the amount of content it takes, even for a simple one. I had never given any thought to the work that went into a website until I tried to build my own.
Did you create your own website or hire it out? Do you use WordPress?
I created my first one on Squarespace but my new website which is being built at the moment I got someone who knows what they are doing to create it.
What advice would you give to someone who is thinking about starting their own business?
Get as much help as you can and allow a budget for this immediately, even a small amount. The day-to-day tasks can really feel overwhelming and having help allows you to focus on what you are great at.
If you could go back in time and do something differently, what would you do and why?
I would have gotten a VA much sooner, and I also would have gotten help with my website, doing everything myself was exhausting.
Do you have an email list? If so, did you start it when you launched?
I have an email list now, it’s growing every month. I had no list at all when I started.
Is this your only job? Did you launch your business while working another job?
My business is my only job. I had tried to cut back my hours in my old job but I could not get any momentum in my business so I decided to take a leap of faith. It was terrifying but it really gets you moving.
How do you promote your site?
I host a monthly Masterclass and I am also starting to run challenges. I also use LinkedIn and Instagram to promote my website.
Who are your favorite bloggers or podcasts right now? Or what is an influential book that you’ve read lately?
Gina DeVee is a coach of mine and I love her podcast. I am reading Psycho Cybernetics at the moment and it is a great book for entrepreneurs
Is there anything else you’d like to share?
Just that I really want to see women make more money in their business and I am making it my mission to make that happen.
