Riah Gonzalez is the Founder and CEO of Linq Consulting Solutions. Her business helps in finding perfect, vetted, and affordable Virtual Assistants from the Philippines for entrepreneurs who kick ass. You can find her at www.linqcs.com or on LinkedIn. If you would like information about finding your own VA from the Philippines, you can book a call with her directly at: connect.linqcs.com/va.

I absolutely loved meeting Riah and found her to have a well-oiled machine when it comes to seeking out, interviewing, and matchmaking the perfect virtual assistant to the entrepreneur looking to outsource and grow. She helps with the entire process and is so fun and easy to talk to. She has a very unique business model and gets great results for her clients.

First things first, what would your walk on stage music be?

“Don’t Stop Believin'” by Journey

When did you start your business, and why did you create it?

I got fired and was literally petrified of applying for another job. I had been doing administrative side work casually and figured I should just build on that. It was very half-hearted at first because I was pretty sad about all that had happened. Thankfully that turned around!

Tell us about your business and what makes you unique in your field.

At Linq Consulting Solutions, we use a science-backed process to help our clients find their dream Virtual Assistants in the Philippines. We take care of everything from creating and listing their job posting, sorting through hundreds of resumes, completing dozens of initial interviews and vetting candidates with sample works, and checking references. In the end, we present our clients with the top three candidates with insights and a plethora of information so that they are armed to do the final interviews, select their new Virtual Assistant and get them onboarded.

What do you feel makes your audience special?

Female entrepreneurs bring such a sense of balanced power to the business world. We are compassionate but firm. We have so much to give!

If you could magically give all of your community members one thing in this world, what would it be, and why?

The perfect virtual assistant that would anticipate their every need without having to communicate or delegate! I would love to do this because I know that we all have different needs and the logistics of working with another person can sometimes be challenging.

Has anything surprised you about starting a website?

I was surprised with how proud I am of having a staked claim on the internet representing what I do.

Did you create your own website or hire it out? Do you use WordPress?

My original website structure was hired out but we recently changed everything and it was a collaboration between my Executive Assistant and me. Yes, we use WordPress.

What advice would you give to someone who is thinking about starting their own business?

Save money first! Opening a business costs quite a bit of money and is stressful. You will save yourself so many sleepless nights if you give yourself a little bit of a runway to get started with your savings.

If you could go back in time and do something differently, what would you do and why?

I would have found a community to rally around me sooner. It’s so lonely sometimes and it really helps to have friends who understand what you are trying to do.

Do you have an email list? If so, did you start it when you launched?

I do and it started shortly after launching. Admittedly, I could do such a better job on growing the list!

Is this your only job? Did you launch your business while working another job?

This is my only job. I jumped two feet in.

How do you promote your site?

In Facebook groups when people are curious about my services, I always recommend that they take a peek at the website first to make sure it is a good fit before booking a call. That way I am being respectful of their time if they are looking for something different.

Who are your favorite bloggers or podcasts right now? Or what is an influential book that you’ve read lately?

I am obsessed with Mel Robbins and am currently devouring the “High Five Habit” on Audible.

Is there anything else you’d like to share?

I am always open to networking! I love learning about other women in business and often find we can help each other somehow! It’s all about connecting as much as possible.
